Carl Beane passed away on 5/9/2012.  He suffered a heart attack while driving home after doing what he did so well.  He was lending a hand (and his voice) to his good friend at W-A-R-E (http://www.realoldies1250.net/) covering a morning show in Palmer. He was upbeat after the show saying he had figured out all the "new fangled" equipment.  He was going to run some errands then go home and take a nap since he had gotten up at 4 AM to do the show.  He never made it home for that nap.

So much is being said about Carl, how he was such a loving and giving man who always gave his time to fans, friends and even strangers.  Whenever he saw someone in a military uniform he stopped for a moment and thanked them for their service for our country.  When he saw someone taking a picture of a child (perhaps their first visit to Fenway Park), he would say "wait, let's add one more thing to this picture" and he would place one of his World Series rings on their finger for the picture.  No words can possibly express how much Carl will be missed.  He made the world a better place, for a minute or a lifetime for so many people.

I was his business manager and his very good friend.  There is a huge hole in my heart that will take a while to heal. Thank you all for your wonderful sentiments and thoughts and prayers.  Keep your memories of Carl alive and that will keep him alive in all of our hearts.
